Kimberly Morris is the author of 60 books for children and young
adults, many of them for popular series including Disney Fairies,
That’s So Raven, Mary-Kate and Ashley, Animorphs,
Sweet Valley, and Generation Girl. Her credits include
read-aloud stories for the Muppets, Muppet Babies,
and Fraggle Rock, and animated television scripts for the
classic ThunderCats.
Her motivational writing workshops for students K-12 and adults give participants
a taste of what its really like to work in publishing and
television. Theyre fast, furious, and highly collaborative.
Her workshops are not just about creative writing; they are about
higher-level critical thinking skills, creative problem solving,
and team building.
As a keynote speaker, her views on writing as an art, writing as
a skill, and writing as a business are wry, witty, pragmatic and
- she hopes - useful to parents, teachers, corporate audiences
and those who have taken up the pen themselves.
Kimberly Morris is also the Director of Project Development for
Publishing Matters, a Houston-based
custom publishing company, producing content for corporations, schools,
and nonprofits.
